Art & Snack - Paper Name Collage

Caregiver and child pairs will start with a hands-on alphabet themed snack then get a little messy to make a beautiful name collage. Each adult and child pair will make a name/word collage by applying colorful thin paper shapes onto a pre-stretched, primed canvas or onto a wood block with acrylic medium. Art, food and fun--all while reinforcing letter recognition!    All Levels

Drawing Animals Camp

Drawing animals is extremely easy and fun- you will be amazed as you bring these creatures to life! In this class you will learn how to draw a wide variety of animals doing what they do best- running, jumping, flying, swimming, etc. We will be drawing animals and birds such as owls, tigers, parrots, wolves, hummingbirds, housecats, pelicans, bears, etc! We will be drawing in a variety of media, and covering anatomy, highlights/ shadow, composition, action, etc., in this exciting class!

Drawing Fantasy Creatures

Explore the fascinating world of fantasy creatures in this exciting new class! We will depict Dragons, Dinos, Mecha, Monsters, Robots, Elves, Gnomes, Trolls, Shape- Shifters, Mutants, Clones, Giant Insectoids, Animal- Creature Hybrids, Multi- Creature Hybrids, and all the amazing things they do! Running, flying, swimming, battling foes, rescuing heroes, breathing fire, etc,! We will explore creatures in a variety of media- starting with drawing, and continuing on in the media of your choice- pencil, charcoal, and acrylics!       All Levels

Drawing for Teens Camp

Drawing is the foundation of the visual arts and anyone can learn to draw! This class will build a solid foundation of drawing skills to strengthen your ability to express your creativity!  The instructor will demonstrate specific techniques to render realistically using line and contour, shape and form, light and shadow, space and depth, proportion and perspective. Principles of composition will also be covered. All Levels

Garden Suns

The students will learn basic clay techniques to build a high fired "Mexican" Sun. They can be personalized to look like someone you know or ideas from the instructor. Multi color clays will be used. Instructor will "patina" the pieces after bisque and you will pick up your pieces ready to hang and enjoy.  All Levels

High School Glassblowing

Teens, this class is your opportunity to learn to blow glass. Using 2000° furnaces (hot enough to turn a mixture of sand and soda ash into glass) you will practice the basics of blown glass and solid sculpted forms.  Four weekly sessions, no prerequisite.  Beginner

B.Y.O.C.A.  (Build Your Own Crazy Alien).  How many eyes, ears, noses, mouths, wings, and jetpacks does an alien have?  You decide! This camp is run by Seattle based C.A.N. - Clay Animation Network. rrAHGRG! Run Away!  The Zombies are coming!  Oh no!  I tripped!  AHH!…rrAHGRG! What?  It’s helping me get up?  Uh, thanks zombie dude, what’s your name? rrAHGRG! This camp is run by Seattle based C.A.N. - Clay Animation Network. Students will use iPads (provided by C.A.N) to take animation photos, edit video/sound, and create unique music scores based on the class theme. Set, character and story construction will be taught. Painting Animals Camp

Have you ever been fascinated by the sight of an animal in a photo, or in the wild? Animals are beautiful and fascinating subjects to paint! In this class, you will learn to paint a wide variety of animals in vibrant color! We will cover anatomy, lighting, color harmony, and composition, and many other subjects, to help you to bring your animals to life!   All Levels

Summer Art Camp

Four fantastic days of art making! In this fine art camp, your child will explore drawing, painting and printmaking. Mediums including watercolor, acrylic, pastel, pencil and ink will be used. New and fun projects completed daily. Aprons provided, but please have your child dress for mess. All Levels

Watercolor for Teens Camp

Have you ever wanted to discover the magic of watercolor painting? Learn about watercolor paper, paints, brushes, values and drawing in a fun, nurturing atmosphere. You'll be amazed at how fast you progress. Learn to see like an artist, develop basic drawing and brushstroke skills, and the value of light and shadow to add drama to your paintings! Participate in creative exercises and build the skills to take your artwork to the next level. Level: Beginner
