Who/Where is the poster artist for 2017?

The 2017 Poster artist is Jackie Cort booth #79 just west of the Inn at Port Gardner along the Promenade. 

Are there any posters for sale?

Posters are free at the festival info booth while supplies last!

How many artists are at Fresh Paint?

There are more than 100 artists at Fresh Paint.

I am an artist, how do I apply to Fresh Paint next year?

The artist application is usually available in February. Sign up for our email list to be notified when it is available.

How do I get to the Float Find?

The Float Find is happening on Jetty Island. To get to Jetty Island you must take a free, public ferry from the 10th St. Boat Launch. From the marina, you head north on W. Marine View Drive. Turn Left at 10th St. Pick up tickets from the kiosk in the park. The float find is a free community event happening all weekend. Ferries begin running on Saturday at 10am and Sunday at 11am.

Who made the glass floats?

The floats were made by Richard Langley, Cloud Cap Glass, who is also the demonstrating artist at the mobile hot shop.

I need to register my float, where/what do I do?

Float find participants register their float at the Jetty Island Float Find Booth or the Schack Art Center Information Booth. Have them fill out the registry sheet/form on the clipboard, then fill out a certificate from the box. There will be a special drawing at the end of the festival for float find participants who register their float. The prize is a small glass pumpkin.

What is there to eat?

There are several casual and fine dining restaurants at the marina, including Anthony's Homeport, the Woodfire Grill, and Lombardi's. In addition, we have several food vendors that include coffee & smoothies, kettle corn, seafood, nutz, ice cream and more. 

When is the Beer & Wine Garden open?

11am-6pm both days. It is run by Everett Music Initiative.

Where are the Shuttle Stops?

There aren't any Fresh Paint shuttles, but you can ride Everett Transit Route #6 Harborfront to downtown and the Schack (Hewitt & Hoyt).

Where can I park at Fresh Paint?

There is 2-hour, free parking at the Port of Everett South Marina and Marina Village. However, it may be difficult to find available parking during peak times.

Where can I drop off/pick up by purchased artwork?
We have a pick-up/drop off area for buyers on the south side of the Inn at Port Gardner.

When/where is the farmers market?

The farmers market is from 11am - 4pm on Sunday. It takes place at Boxcar Park, off of 14th street. 

How long has Fresh Paint been going on?

This is the 21st year of Fresh Paint, but it started as a smaller event that involved artist's studio tours. It moved to the marina and became a 2-day event at the beginning of the decade.

Where is the Hot Shop?

The festival hot shop is near Anthony's Woodfire Grill at the west end of the promenade, but you can watch glassblowers everyday at the Schack Art Center!

What is there for kids?

This year we have a variety of art activities in the grassy area on the east end of the Inn at Port Gardner.

  • reCONNECT Community Art Quilt Project The reCONNECT rainbow quilt is an outdoor interactive installation designed by Berette Macaulay.   To join in, you choose your own color canvas square and a marker to outline your hand(s) and write or draw messages of how we are connected.  Each color line has a meaning: 
  • All Aboard - hands-on art project to take home.
  • Glacier Peak High School - Kids (and kids at heart) can get their face painted by members of the Glacier Peak High School art honor society.
  • Antoinette Hippe: Henna Art
