Art of the Garden
June 18 – August 1
Sponsored by City of Everett Cultural Arts Commission
If you think artwork is just meant to hang on a wall or sit on a shelf, prepare to toss this idea aside as the Schack Art Center presents the "Art of the Garden" from June 18 through August 1, 2015.
More than seventy regional artists are featured as part of this prolific offering of art created to enhance the garden and bring the garden into the home. This exhibit includes colorful work in a wide variety of media including ceramic, cement casting, glass, photography, painting and sculpture suitable for the indoors or out.
Visitors will find artwork to personalize even the smallest landscape with whimsy and grace, as well as structural pieces to define garden spaces long after the flowers have faded.
The opening reception on Thursday, June 18 from 5-8pm will also feature "Visions Explored 2015", an exhibit of art and photography by Everett Community College students in the Schack's Emerging Young Artists' Gallery through September 8.
Participating artists include: Reg Akright, Annie Anderson, Justin Bergevin, Dorothy Bonneau, Sandi Bransford, Rick Bulman, Lindy Burns Hawkins, Barbara G.
