Mongrain & Fuin
October 4 – November 8
Opening Reception, October 9, 5-8pm
In a rare exhibition, we will present two glassblowers who specialize in the Venetian tradition of goblet making - Jim Mongrain and Italian maestro, Davide Fuin.
Mongrain is known as one of Americas' finest goblet makers and has worked as gaffer on high profile glass installations around the world with renowned artists including Dale Chihuly.
Fuin is one of the few maestros of Murano, Italy, specializing in fine blown glass and goblets using traditional Venetian techniques such as Zanfirico, Filigree, Reticello, Fumè, and Cristallino. He is recognized for his goblets, bowls, plates, and historical reproductions-his work can be found in museums and galleries around the world.
