Black & White Photography Contest

Exhibit Dates: March 28 - April 29

Awards Ceremony: April 17, 6pm

Schack Art Center received more than 185 entries for its 2014 Black & White Photography Contest.The contest was open to all Snohomish County High School students.  Photographs were judged in two categories, Grades 9/10th and Grades 11/12th.  Three local well-known photographers served as judges: Terry Divyak, Mark Dodge and Mary Bess Johnson.

The Schack Art Center is pleased to honor the following local students:

The GRAND PRIZE winner of the "2014 Black & White Photography Contest" is awarded to Kainalu Ramos, a junior at Henry M. Jackson High School for his entry "Fathomless".

Award winners will be honored at our spring Teen Night on Thursday, April 17, 6pm at the Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Avenue in downtown Everett.

An exhibit of all the entries is currently on display in our Emerging Young Artist Gallery from March 28-April 29, 2014. Gallery hours are as follows: Monday-Friday, 10-6pm; Saturday, 10-5pm; and Sunday, 12-5pm (closed Easter Sunday, April 20).
