Continuing Lampwork Glass Beadmaking

If you have taken Beginning Lampwork Glass and would like an advanced course  in the medium, then this is the class for you. Continue to build your torch and shaping skills.

Exploring Borosilicate Glass

This class will give students the opportunity to work on anything that they would like to work on in borosilicate glass. Students are encouraged to bring with them an idea of something to make or to just explore glass. Solid or hollow work will be covered as well as a couple of coloring techniques.

Flameworking in Borosilicate: Hollow Ornaments

This class will be a fun way to prepare for the holidays. Making both hollow round ornaments and snowmen.

The students will learn how to blow a round bubble to turn into an ornament, as well as how to sculpt a snowman out of solid glass rods.

Lampwork Beadmaking Students Open Studio Time

This Lampworking Open Studio is a time for Intermediate and Advanced students to practice what they have learned and make more beads.

Students must have taken at least one lampwork beadmaking class at the Schack or from Staci Adman.

Lampwork Glass Beadmaking

If you're fascinated by baubles, bangles, and beads, this one day class is for you. You will make many glass beads as you learn the basic skills of heating Moretti (soft) glass, applying it to a mandrel, and shaping it with tools.

Lampworking: Glass Icicles

Students will create twisted glass icicle ornaments out of borosilicate glass using a bench-mounted torch. This is a great introduction to flameworking.

Lampworking: Make a Pipe

This class is a one day workshop of practicing working with hollow glass to make a functional pipe.

Students will learn how to use blow tubes, weld glass, use a punty, and how to shape hollow glass.

Lampworking: Spooky Glass

This class will cover making solid charms that are Halloween themed. These charms can be made into earrings or pendants. Witches hats, ghosts, tombstones, and whatever other spooky things you can think of!

Tiny Glass Pumpkins - An Intro to Lampwork Glass

Create small glass pumpkins by heating glass rods in the flame of a bench-mounted torch and transferring the molten gather onto the end of a stainless steel mandrel. Learn to control the glass and form it into a sphere which can then be shaped into a pumpkin while still molten. A great introduction to the basics of manipulating hot glass on a very small scale!
