Printmaking

Beginning Woodcut and Linocut Printmaking

This course will introduce students to relief printmaking using linoleum as a support. We will start with reductive technique and move on to multiple blocks. Color mixing will be covered.

Students will learn how to prepare their paper, register their prints for multiple printings, carve linoleum plates, mix colors and handle the press.

Marvelous Multimedia Monoprinting

Take gel monoprinting to a new level or learn about it for the first time! Experience the gel presses in new and unusual ways, from using them on wood substrates, leather, and various papers!more painterly handling of the ink. Enhance you own unique style, make a bunch of prints, and connect with other artists. All levels welcome!

Reduction Screenprinting

This is a silkscreen course using reduction technique to create small limited edition prints on paper.

Students will learn how to use traditional screen printing equipment and materials to gain creative expression of their ideas. Lots of attention for each student, plus daily demonstrations will be provided. We will learn about efficient sequence of layered color, and how to design your ideas for best results.
