Beginning students will learn how to fabricate jewelry from metal sheet and wire. Begin with basic skills such as forging, soldering and setting cabochon stones. Learn to use a jeweler's saw and other hand tools.

Create a statement ring or pendant using epoxy clay and raw crystals. This easy technique pairs molding and sculpting with raw stones to create dynamic organic rings and pendants that are bound to knock your socks off. Get the same look as PMC without the kiln work.

Eco Friendly Etching
In this class, you will learn how to etch copper in a simple salt water bath using only batteries! This chemical-free technique is fun and easy and it won't break the bank. You'll also learn how to finish and color your etched pieces to add an extra dimension to your jewelry designs.

Enameling on Copper
Enameling is the art of fusing powdered glass to metal. This class will teach the three basic techniques of enameling. Students will learn to stencil, cloisonne and chambleve on copper.

*Students must have taken the Beginning-Intermediate Silversmithing course or have instructor's permission to take this class.
After learning basic silversmithing skills in the beginning class, students can hone those skills with guided individual projects. The instructor presents more techniques and working side by side with other students creating their individual projects broadens the experience.

Stamped Metal Jewelry
In this class you will learn to stamp metal with words, sayings, song lyrics or numbers. You will learn the basics of metal stamping, discover some tips and tricks to make the process easier as well as fun.
