Beginning Lapidary - Cabochon Cutting

Cabochon cutting is a method of cutting gemstones with a convex, rounded surface that is polished but unfaceted. The back of a normal cabochon-cut stone is flat.

Students will learn how to take a stone from flat slab to a beautiful polished piece ready for jewelry or other artwork.

Interm/Adv Silversmithing - Jewelry Workshop

*Students must have taken the Beginning-Intermediate Silversmithing course or have instructor's permission to take this class.

After learning basic silversmithing skills in the beginning class, students can hone those skills with guided individual projects. The instructor presents more techniques and working side by side with other students creating their individual projects broadens the experience.

Weekend Beginning Silversmithing

Beginning students will learn how to fabricate jewelry from metal sheet and wire.  Begin with basic skills such as forging, soldering and setting cabochon stones.  Learn to use a jeweler's saw and other hand tools.

ZOOM Online class - Colored Pencil Drawing I

Drawing is extremely easy and fun! We will be drawing a variety of subjects such as landscapes, animals, flowers and still lives in Colored Pencil in this class. We will be covering contrast, highlights/shadow, composition etc. The subjects will be taught in a step-by-step fashion. You will be able to follow along with the steps to achieve beautiful finished projects!

Eco Friendly Etching

In this class, you will learn how to etch copper in a simple salt water bath using only batteries! This chemical-free technique is fun and easy and it won't break the bank. You'll also learn how to finish and color your etched pieces to add an extra dimension to your jewelry designs.

This introductory class provides a foundation for stained glass using the copper foil technique.  We will cover designing projects for glass, the art of glass cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, finishing and presentation.

Alcohol Inks

Students will explore the world of alcohol ink, using a variety of colors, including metallics, to create abstracts or abstract landscapes and florals.

They will learn the characteristics of alcohol ink, and several techniques to manipulate the ink such as blowing with a straw, making color washes, misters, daubers, how to use medium and alcohol, and finish with rubber stamps.

Lampwork Glass Beadmaking

If you're fascinated by baubles, bangles, and beads, this one day class is for you. You will make many glass beads as you learn the basic skills of heating Moretti (soft) glass, applying it to a mandrel, and shaping it with tools.

Decorative Fused Glass Lantern

You will be creating a beautiful decorative lantern with fused panels to enjoy outdoors or indoors.

You will learn basic fusing concepts in this class. Students will create four custom fused glass panels using frit, stringers, nuggets and enamel paints.

ZOOM Online: Painted Papers for Collage

Create your own unique stash of Collage papers! There are many different ways to create pattern and texture on paper; stencil, stamp, imprint, saturate, mask, resist, comb, dabble, brush, splatter...and so on. I will demonstrate using GOLDEN Fluid & High Flow Paints plus explore mark making techniques & gluing of these papers using various GOLDEN Acrylic Mediums & Gels. I'll share all the tips & tricks!

Needle Felting Hearts
