Continuing Lampwork Glass Beadmaking

If you have taken Beginning Lampwork Glass and would like an advanced course  in the medium, then this is the class for you. Continue to build your torch and shaping skills.

Large Abstract Florals

Mixed media and acrylic will be our path to large spring florals on canvas. In this very loose and juicy style you are sure to get in the mood for spring and learn new skills to loosen up your work, and keep a playful style.

Drawing for Kids

Drawing is extremely easy and fun! We will be drawing a variety of subjects such as landscapes, animals, flowers and still lives in this class. We will be working in several drawing media and will be covering contrast, highlights/shadow, composition etc. in this exciting class! The subjects will be taught in a step-by-step fashion. You will be able to follow along with the steps to acheive beautiful finished projects!

Fused Geometric Wall Clock

You will be creating a bright colorful contemporary wall clock which will add a splash of color to your home or office.

Students will learn basic fusing concepts and will have a chance to use frit, stringers, and nuggets with other geometric shapes of glass. We will discuss how to drill a hole in your project and the placement of the hole for proper mounting on the wall.

Beginning Watercolor

Enjoy the fascinating, vibrant world of watercolors in this exciting class! Glassblowing II

If you already know the basics of blowing glass, but aren't quite ready to work on your own, this class is for you. The use of handles, bits, and wraps will be covered, as will color application.

Lapidary I

Student will learn techniques to shape a slab of stone into a cabochon suitable for use in jewelry or other art work (hardness no greater than 7).

Embedded Terrain - Folding & Pleating with Encaustic

Learn to compose fibrous materials with folds and pleats onto panels using encaustic as a binder.

Students will learn manipulation of 2-d material to create 3-d form and compositional experience.

Beginning students will learn how to fabricate jewelry from metal sheet and wire.  Begin with basic skills such as forging, soldering and setting cabochon stones.  Learn to use a jeweler's saw and other hand tools.

Intro to Needle Felting

In this class students will discover how fun and easy it is to create with wool fleece. From simple wool beads to intricately detailed small figures, the creative possibilities are endless! ART HOW2'S 2019: DESIGNING COLLABORATIVE CREATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES

In this workshop participants will learn how to facilitate the design thinking process by using their own curriculum to frame their lessons, make connections to other content areas, and acquire techniques for guiding students toward developing the necessary mindset and skills to thrive in today's world.

Lapidary Open Studio

Spend the afternoon working independently on your lapidary project. We will have a room monitor available but no instruction. We provide the equipment, you provide your own rocks.

Braided Ring

Come learn the tricks of "braiding" wire with a drill and a hammer. No actual braiding involved. This is a great class for beginners who have never held a torch - the instructor will be right with you all the way. More experienced learners who yearn to be initiated into the mysteries of this stylish ring will also feel right at home.

Fused Coral Sea Bowl

You will be creating a beautiful sea-inspired coral bowl to adorn your tabletop.

Students will make a 10"-13" fused coral bowl using strips of glass. Additional design elements can be added with frit and nuggets.

Cold Enamel Jewelry

Create faux enamel effects on metal with Iced Enamels®. Learn how to use enameling powders, enameling medium and resin to permanently adhere color to metal. This technique will create the same look as torch-fired or kiln-fired enamels but without the heat. Learn to combine Enamel Medium with quick-melting Relique powders, to create beautiful mixed-media metalwork in minutes. Cold Enameling will never rub off, fade or yellow over time.

Dapped & Riveted Earrings

Learn how to cut sheet metal using a disc cutter, form the disc into a cup and attach the cup to metal to create a cold connection and beautiful finished earrings (or a pendant). The techniques learnt in this class can be used for a variety of jewelry making.

Pine Needle Basket Weaving Basics

You will learn the basic methods of coiled weaving. We will use pine needles as our weaving material, though this technique can be used with other materials as well. You will start your weaving around a decorative center. You will use the basic swirling stitch gives your woven piece stability and is very attractive. Learn how to shape your basket to its desired form.
