Beginning/Intermediate Silversmithing

Beginning students will learn how to fabricate jewelry from metal sheet and wire.  Begin with basic skills such as forging, soldering and setting cabochon stones.  Learn to use a jeweler's saw and other hand tools.

Interm/Adv Silversmithing - Jewelry Workshop

*Students must have taken the Beginning-Intermediate Silversmithing course or have instructor's permission to take this class. Starting in May - Longer class sessions!

After learning basic silversmithing skills in the beginning class, students can hone those skills with guided individual projects. The instructor presents more techniques and working side by side with other students creating their individual projects broadens the experience.

Ceramic Village Houses

ZOOM Online class - Cartooning Camp

Write! Draw! Ink! This workshop allows young artists to learn the process of cartooning. Students will follow along on a step by step basis to draw some favorite characters as well as create their own characters and write and draw their own stories.

Beginning Stained Glass

This introductory class provides a foundation for stained glass using the copper foil technique.  We will cover designing projects for glass, the art of glass cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, finishing and presentation.

Learn to depict the beauty, energy, and diversity of animal life utilizing a variety of drawing and painting techniques and media. Learn a range of expressive and playful approaches to zoological illustration with step-by-step instruction, demonstration, and hands-on experience, gaining the foundation you need to draw any zoological subject you like.

Beginning Drawing & Painting Camp

This class will build a solid foundation of drawing skills to strengthen your ability to express your creativity!  The instructor will demonstrate specific techniques to render realistically using line and contour, shape and form, light and shadow, space and depth, proportion and perspective. Principles of composition will also be covered. We will then go into translating some of these skill into painting.

Teen Glassblowing

This one week summer program introduces students to the science and art of glass blowing with the guidance of a highly knowledgeable teacher. This hands-on experience will introduce teens to the basic techniques involved in glassblowing such as gathering, blowing, and properly handling tools.  No prerequisite.

Fused Coral Sea Bowl

Create a beautiful sea-inspired coral bowl to adorn your tabletop.

Exploring Borosilicate Glass

This class will give students the opportunity to work on anything that they would like to work on in borosilicate glass. Students are encouraged to bring with them an idea of something to make or to just explore glass. Solid or hollow work will be covered as well as a couple of coloring techniques.

Lampworking: Make a Pipe

This class is a one day workshop of practicing working with hollow glass to make a functional pipe.

Students will learn how to use blow tubes, weld glass, use a punty, and how to shape hollow glass.
