Perfecting Your Photos in Lightroom

Want to bring out the best in your photos? Ready to move beyond snapshots? Learn to crop out distractions, lighten or darken to reveal detail and correct colors. Selectively blur or blacken backgrounds. Make "pop" what inspired you about the picture!

Lightroom is professional photo development software which has a friendly editing interface suited to new users with slider adjustments, instant feedback and infinite undo.

Intro to Needle Felting

In this class students will discover how fun and easy it is to create with wool fleece. From simple wool beads to intricately detailed small figures, the creative possibilities are endless! Encaustic Going Large!

Soft & Hard Shaping - Encaustic Sculpture

Fabulous Acrylic Pours

Enameling on Copper

Enameling is the art of fusing powdered glass to metal. This class will teach the three basic techniques of enameling. Students will learn to stencil, cloisonne and chambleve on copper.

Lapidary Open Studio

Spend the afternoon working independently on your lapidary project. We will have a room monitor available but no instruction. We provide the equipment, you provide your own rocks.

Pre-requisite: Must have taken or be currently enrolled in Intermediate or Advanced Lapidary or pass an access test with monitor.

Lampwork Glass Beadmaking

If you're fascinated by baubles, bangles, and beads, this one day class is for you. You will make many glass beads as you learn the basic skills of heating Moretti (soft) glass, applying it to a mandrel, and shaping it with tools.

Fused Drop Ring Vase

This class will give you a chance to create a fused glass vase even if you have never worked with any kind of glass.

You will learn basic fusing concepts and will have the opportunity to use frit, stringers, nuggets and scrap glass to create your design. You will also learn about drop ring molds and how to cut a circle.

Beginning Watercolor

Enjoy the fascinating, vibrant world of watercolors in this exciting class! Landscape & Botanical Painting

Travel the World without leaving the comfort of your own studio! Explore the amazing sights of the world through drawing and painting! From humble everyday scenes to spectacular works of humans and nature- some examples include: Victoria Falls, The Pyramids at Giza and The Grand Canyon.  We will depict the world in a several media- starting with drawing, and continuing on to acrylics! The subjects will be taught in a step-by-step fashion. You will be able to follow along with the steps to the paintings while they are being done in front of the class.
