Resin & Clay Jewelry

In this unique class you will learn a multitude of techniques to create beautiful relief pendants, earrings or links for jewelry. You will learn how to create silicone molds, how to use clay to create relief sculptures and then you will learn how to mix and color resin to use in finishing your work.

Beginning Stained Glass

This introductory class provides a foundation for stained glass using the copper foil technique.  We will cover designing projects for glass, the art of glass cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, finishing and presentation.

Enameling on Copper

Enameling is the art of fusing powdered glass to metal. This class will teach the three basic techniques of enameling. Students will learn to stencil, cloisonne and chambleve on copper.

The Sculptural Form

Weekend Beginning Silversmithing

Beginning students will learn how to fabricate jewelry from metal sheet and wire.  Begin with basic skills such as forging, soldering and setting cabochon stones.  Learn to use a jeweler's saw and other hand tools.

Successful Milky Way Photos

Efficiently shoot dramatic Milky Way images by following a straightforward set of steps to plan, capture and post-process in Lightroom or Photoshop. Learn how to be at the right place at the right time with the right gear. Do not waste your time standing around frustrated in the dark. The camera can see much more of the night sky than the human eye, but you will need editing to bring out the glory of this hidden universe.

Fused Drop Ring Vase

This class will give you a chance to create a fused glass vase even if you have never worked with any kind of glass.

You will learn basic fusing concepts and will have the opportunity to use frit, stringers, nuggets and scrap glass to create your design. You will also learn about drop ring molds and how to cut a circle.

Photography I: Digital Photography Intro

This class is a basic introduction to the fundamentals of photography, designed to help students move beyond the auto settings of their cameras. They will learn some basic photography techniques so that they know how to creatively control and predict the outcome of their photographs.

Pine Needle Basket Weaving Basics

You will learn the basic methods of coiled weaving. We will use pine needles as our weaving material, though this technique can be used with other materials as well. You will start your weaving around a decorative center. You will use the basic swirling stitch gives your woven piece stability and is very attractive. Learn how to shape your basket to its desired form.

Beginning & Intermediate Bronze Metal Clay Jewelry

This class will teach beginning students how to manipulate the clay by using molding compound and textures. Students will complete 3-5 projects during class. Intermediate students will learn additional gem setting techniques and further hone their skills.

Expressive Spinner Rings

Bring an unadorned finger to class, and take it home decked out in a fabulous sterling silver spinner ring hand made by you! Personalize your spinning band with meaningful words, names, or dates. All materials and tools provide, including use of the torch. Bring nothing - go home with new jewelry. Have a blast in the process! (Making a ring for a lucky someone else? Measure the destination finger in advance with a strip of paper or a piece of string, and bring that to class.) Beginners welcome!

Drawing in Color: Pastels & Colored Pencil

Beginning Watercolor

Weekend Advanced Silversmithing

*Students must have taken the Beginning-Intermediate Silversmithing course or have instructor's permission to take this class. 

Join other students who have taken Beginning Silversmithing and further your skills by working side by side with individual projects. Fused Geometric Wall Clock

You will be creating a bright colorful contemporary wall clock which will add a splash of color to your home or office.

Students will learn basic fusing concepts and will have a chance to use frit, stringers, and nuggets with other geometric shapes of glass. We will discuss how to drill a hole in your project and the placement of the hole for proper mounting on the wall.

Fused Coral Sea Bowl

You will be creating a beautiful sea-inspired coral bowl to adorn your tabletop.

Intro to Needle Felting

In this class students will discover how fun and easy it is to create with wool fleece. From simple wool beads to intricately detailed small figures, the creative possibilities are endless!
