Watercolors That Dance With Light

Our Mezzanine Gallery will feature select work from regional 3-d artists and the works of artist and author, Elizabeth Kincaid.

Elizabeth Kincaid is the author of "Paint Watercolors That Dance With Light", North Light Press in 2004, now in its second printing as a paperback.

Elizabeth earned a BFA in Graphic Design at UofW and worked as a graphic designer for South Seattle Community College. She has taught watercolor classes in her home studio, at the Kirkland Arts Center, and in CA, Hawaii, British Columbia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington. She has given demos at Daniel Smith Art Supply. She has served as juror for shows in Pennsylvania, California, Florida, and Washington. She is past president of Women Painters of Washington, a signature member and past treasurer of the Philadelphia Water Color Club, and a signature member of Northwest Watercolor Society.

She is currently showing work at the Women Painters of Washington Columbia Center Gallery. She has been represented by Pearl Gallery, Carmel CA, The Gallery at Centerville in Wilmington, DE (solo shows in 1991 and 1994), Rosenfeld Gallery in Philadelphia, The Studio GSallery in Swarthmore, PA (a solo show in 1992), and the Museo Gallery in Langley, WA (solo shows 1994-2002). In 2006-2007, she was featured artist in the Windermere Gallery, Kirkland, WA. Elizabeth’s aquatint etchings are presented nationwide by Island International Artists.

She works in a realistic style that is strongly graphic and impressionistic. Elizabeth builds paintings from many thin glazes of brilliant and luminous color.
