Opening Reception: May 15, 5-7pm

Beginning May 1 the Schack Art Center presents "Interpretations" in the Emerging Young Artists' Gallery. This exhibit will feature artwork created by residents of Cocoon House (local shelter for homeless and at-risk youths) in combination with artwork created by court involved youth at Denney Juvenile Justice Center.
Since 1993 the Schack Art Center has partnered with the Denney Juvenile Justice Center and the Everett School District to offer weekly art classes, known as "Art Alternatives", to incarcerated youth. Lead instructor, Henri Wilson, is "particularly excited to exhibit students' work created with guest artists Josey Wise and Judy Zugish."
"Interpretations", sponsored by the John & Ellen Middleton Fund at the Greater Everett Community Foundation, is on display in the Schack's Emerging Young Artists' Gallery through June 4th. The public is invited to an opening reception during Teen Night at the Schack on May 15 from 5-7pm.
