Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition and Scholarships

The 2022 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards opened September 1, 2021! Creative teens  can submit artwork for the chance to receive up to $10,000 in scholarships. 

*Seniors submitting a portfolio will automatically considered for the Susan J. Russell Scholarship.

Awarding winning individual entries will be exhibited at the Schack Art Center January 25-February 13, 2022. Deadline to submit January 6, 2022.

Black & White Photography Contest

2022 Black and White Photography Contest is open to all Snohomish County 9-12 grade students.Submissions open December 1, 2022. Free to submit, scholarships awarded to winners.

All entries will be exhibited at the Schack Art Center March 22-April 24. Deadline to submit March 11, 2022

Schack Art Center in partnership with KCTS 9 is excited to recoginize students in Washington State that created art inspired by the life and activism of Muhammad Ali.

Students created an original 2D piece of artwork reflecting one of Ali’s principles and provided a written description of how the piece represents the principle selected. This was open to 6-12 graders residing in Washington State’s King, Snohomish, Skagit, Island, Whatcom and Kitsap Counties.

Senior Portfolio Scholarships

High School Seniors attending school in Snohomish County can submit their art portfolios to the Snohomish Region Scholastic Art Awards be eligible for college scholarships!

All entries will be exhibited at the Schack Art Center January 18-February 13, 2022
