2026 Exhibition at the Schack Art Center | March 26 - April 19

OPEN TO ALL 9-12 GRADE STUDENTS IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY

Follow these steps to participate in the Black and White Photography Contest

1-Start your entry by completing the entry form online. You will be able to upload your photograph in the form. Complete the entry form online by March 13, 2026 midnight.

2-Complete your entry by delivering your "exhibit ready" photograph with this submission form affixed to the back of your photograph Thursday, March 19, 2-5 PM to the Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett

3-Pick up your photograph from the Schack on April 21, 10 AM- 5 PM.

ALL PHOTOS MUST BE “EXHIBIT READY” when dropped off at the Schack-see instructions below.

All entries must be delivered Thursday, March 19, 2026, 2-5 PM to the Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett. All entries must be picked up by April 21, 10 AM-5 PM. To schedule other times for pick up or drop off contact education@schack.org 425.309.7723 ext. 127

2023 GALLERY

  • This contest is open to all Snohomish County High School students, grades 9-12.

    1 Black & White photograph may be submitted per student.

    As this is a Black & White photography contest, no color photos will be accepted.

    Photographs must be "exhibit ready" when dropped off at the Schack-see instructions below.

    Exhibit Ready Instructions

    All photographs are to be mounted on rigid board for backing reinforcement and matted, up to 11” x 14”. Matting should be adequately secured to backing so as not to come apart when hanging.

    Affix this entry form to the back of your entry before you drop it off at the Schack

    Only white, off-white or black matting may be used.

    Put an ↑ on the back indicating the top of the picture.

    If entered in a sleeve, the picture may be taken out when exhibit is hung.

    *Only work submitted following these guidelines will be juried.

  • Photographs will be judged based on creativity, composition, and presentation. Entries will be adjudicated, and certificates awarded in the following categories:

    Grand Prize-$70 gift card

    1st place-$35 gift card

    2nd place-$30 gift card

    3rd place- $25 gift card
