The Schack offers OSPI approved Educator Workshops with Washington State Clock Hours. The workshops are for ALL educators, and anyone involved in student education. All workshops focus on hands on learning, collaboration, and Washington State Curriculum.

Art for the Senses: Sound Bath + Workshop
Join us for an immersive, two-day, professional development workshop designed for both professional and volunteer educators who are curious about integrating art and sensory experiences into their teaching. Throughout the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to connect with fellow educators, share ideas, and discover innovative strategies to incorporate sensory-based art activities into your own learning environment. Whether you're looking to enhance emotional regulation in the classroom, support diverse learning styles, or simply spark new creative approaches, this workshop offers a meaningful blend of personal renewal and practical takeaways. As a part of the workshop, participants will also get to explore the power of sensory engagement through a guided sound bath experience—promoting relaxation, presence, and creative inspiration. Come prepared to relax, connect, and leave reenergized with fresh ideas that will engage your students’ senses and spark their imaginations.

Winter Educator Workshop: February 2026
Explore Fiber Arts - Through this multi-session workshop attendees will gain hands-on experience in a wide variety of fiber art styles. From weaving, to felting, and embroidery, you will leave each session with fresh ideas for your own practice as well as ways educators can incorporate fiber art practices into their classrooms.

Spring Educator Workshop: March 2026
Art of Environmentalism - Discover how art can be a powerful tool for environmental awareness and change at this inspiring educator workshop focused on the intersection of creativity and sustainability.
Join fellow educators and teaching artists for a hands-on weekend of learning, making, and sharing ideas about how to incorporate eco-conscious practices into your art curriculum. Explore projects that use recycled and natural materials, engage in discussions about environmental themes in contemporary art, and walk away with ready-to-use lesson plans that spark student curiosity and care for the planet.
