Levels: All
Sessions: 5
Instructor: Angeline Shrike
Location: Schack Art Center, Painting & Drawing Studio

In this class, you’ll strengthen your drawing skills by revisiting the core principles that all great artists rely on. Guided by an atelier-trained, classical artist, you’ll focus on careful, deliberate practice to improve your understanding of form, light, and space.

Drawing from traditional 17th-century techniques, you’ll work through exercises on proportion, gesture, value, and the use of light and shadow. The goal is not just to draw what you see, but to see more clearly—developing the eye and mindset of an artist.

This class is perfect for anyone who wants to reconnect with the fundamentals of drawing or refresh their existing skills.
