Fee: $20
Ages: 6+
Levels: Beginner
Sessions: 1
Instructor: Athena Louscher
Location: Schack Art Center, Studio 1
This engaging homeschool art series offers a well-rounded introduction to the world of visual arts. Students will learn about the history behind important artworks, explore the techniques that artists have used through the ages, and create their own pieces inspired by these traditions. Each lesson connects past and present, encouraging students to take what they’ve learned and apply it to subjects and ideas that matter to them.
Along the way, students will practice using different art materials, build confidence in their creative choices, and develop the language to talk about art thoughtfully. Through group discussions and hands-on projects, they’ll discover how art can tell stories, spark conversations, and bring people together.
Students will gain a deeper appreciation for art, stronger technical skills, and a body of original work that reflects both their learning and imagination.
Space is limited to 10 participants; please register early.
