Instruction focuses on core skills including creating flat layouts, working with parallel and perpendicular forms, and fitting smaller components into cohesive designs. Emphasis is placed on developing control, patience, and an understanding of how different stones interact visually and structurally.

By the end of the class, students will complete a finished intarsia piece, which they will grind and polish using cabbing machines. Each student will leave with a completed work that can be worn in jewelry or displayed as a finished art object.

Prerequisite: Intro to Lapidary

*Materials are included, and students are welcome to bring in their stones!

Please remember to bring a lunch to the first day of class, since we meet all day.
