Discover the beauty of traditional Chinese Song Brocade in this hands-on accessory-making workshop. Known for its rich colors, elegant patterns, and cultural symbolism, Song Brocade has been treasured for centuries as one of China's most celebrated textile arts.
Using pre-made brocade fabrics featuring traditional Chinese motifs, students will design and create unique wearable accessories such as hair clips, earrings, brooches, bracelets, and other decorative pieces. Along the way, you'll learn about the cultural significance of brocade patterns while exploring techniques for pattern selection, color matching, fabric cutting, assembly, and finishing.
Perfect for beginners, this workshop combines cultural appreciation with creative design and practical crafting skills. Students will leave with one or more handcrafted accessories inspired by the timeless beauty of Song Brocade.
