Present Tense is the 24th juried exhibition showcasing the depth, range, and innovation happening in contemporary art in the Pacific Northwest. Bringing together diverse artists working across disciplines and media, the exhibition highlights practices that are shaping the landscape of visual arts in our region. The exhibition follows a juried selection process by a panel of arts professionals. We are pleased to announce this year’s jurors are Nancy Loorem Adams, Andrew Vallee, and Christian Waguespack.
The Juried Exhibition is a long Schack tradition that serves to celebrate the confluence of talent in our region, to amplify the artistic perspectives unique to the current moment, and to provide the setting for the public to join the conversation, between artist and viewer, that completes the circuit.

AWARDS
Grand Prize: $500
First Prize 2D, First Prize 3D: $350 each category
Second Prize 2D, Second Prize 3D: $250 each category
Third Prize 2D, Third Prize 3D: $150 each category
Honorable Mention: Certificates, 6 each category
*Winners will be announced at 6:30pm during our Artist Reception and Garden Party on June 4.

This special gathering brings together artists, collectors, and the community. Wander the galleries, bid in our Summer Auction, sip something sparkling, and take in a vibrant collection of contemporary art showcased in our Juried Exhibition.
Garden Hat Competition: Show off your most whimsically decorated garden hat. Whether it’s adorned with fresh flowers, bold embellishments, or full-on fantasy, we’ll crown a winner for the most spectacular creation.
