Walt Lieberman and Dick Weiss are influential Pacific Northwest glass artists known for their distinct approaches to the medium and long-standing contributions to the region’s glass art movement.
Walt Lieberman is celebrated for his mastery of glass painting techniques. His work often blends narrative and abstraction, with surfaces that are meticulously painted and layered. He has taught extensively and is known for elevating glass painting into a contemporary art form.
Dick Weiss is known for his expressive, painterly approach to glass. His signature style incorporates vibrant colors, abstract forms, and a playful yet thoughtful sensibility. Weiss often works in stained and fused glass, and has completed numerous public art commissions. His work blurs the lines between craft, fine art, and storytelling.
Together, they represent different yet complementary facets of glass art in the Pacific Northwest—Lieberman with precision and depth, Weiss with color and spontaneity.
100% ARCHIVAL: The ART OF LYNN DI NINO & JASON CHRISTIAN
OCTOBER 9 - NOVEMBER 8 | MEZZANINE GALLERY
Seattle glass artist Jason Christian joins Tacoma recycle artist Lynn Di Nino in an exploration of color, texture, and structure. Lynn’s jocular characters of plastic, concrete, and household objects layer smiles with sly social commentary. Jason’s rendering of meticulous pattern and texture in blown glass speaks through every piece he creates.
