Continue developing your lapidary skills in this open studio class designed for experienced students. Bring your own rock slabs and enjoy dedicated studio time to create cabochons while receiving optional guidance and feedback from the instructor and fellow students.
You'll refine your cutting, shaping, grinding, and polishing techniques, learn the subtle details that elevate a good cabochon into a great one, and work at your own pace on projects of your choosing.
This class is intended for students who have completed Beginning and Intermediate Lapidary or have received permission from the instructor. By the end of the course, you'll complete as many finished cabochons as time allows using the materials you bring to class.
Please bring your own slabs (preferably 1/4 inch thick), safety glasses, earplugs, a mask (optional), and an old towel.
