Discover the process of creating wearable chains and linked forms using borosilicate glass in this one-day flameworking workshop. Through demonstrations and guided practice, participants will learn how to pull, shape, bend, and connect glass links to create flexible chain structures that balance durability with delicate visual rhythm.

Students will explore foundational flameworking techniques, including pulling stringers, forming consistent links, welding components together, and achieving clean cold seals. Along the way, the class will examine how repetition, movement, scale, and pattern can be used to develop unique wearable or sculptural designs.

Each participant will create a finished borosilicate glass chain in clear or colored glass that can function as a necklace or be incorporated into future sculptural work.

This workshop is appropriate for beginners as well as students looking to expand their flameworking practice through wearable and modular forms.

All supplies provided. Please wear cotton clothing without draped sleeves and closed-toed shoes.
