By the end of the class, each student will create several playful glass pieces—including two styles of flowers, a butterfly, and a bee—perfect for adding a touch of whimsy to houseplants or small garden spaces. Students will take home their finished glass garden creations at the end of the session.

Learn the art of creating small glass pumpkins by heating glass rods with a bench-mounted torch and transferring the molten glass onto the end of a stainless steel mandrel. Master the skill of controlling the glass and forming it into a sphere, which you will then shape into a pumpkin while it is still molten. This workshop provides a great introduction to the basics of manipulating hot glass on a small scale.
Students will gain confidence in lighting a lampworking torch, melting "soft glass" rods in the flame, transferring glass onto a mandrel, making a round glass shape, and shaping glass with a blade. Each student will create a few to several tiny glass pumpkins, depending on their individual pace.

Learn the art of creating small glass pumpkins by heating glass rods with a bench-mounted torch and transferring the molten glass onto the end of a stainless steel mandrel. Master the skill of controlling the glass and forming it into a sphere, which you will then shape into a pumpkin while it is still molten. This workshop provides a great introduction to the basics of manipulating hot glass on a small scale.
Students will gain confidence in lighting a lampworking torch, melting "soft glass" rods in the flame, transferring glass onto a mandrel, making a round glass shape, and shaping glass with a blade. Each student will create a few to several tiny glass pumpkins, depending on their individual pace.
All supplies are provided. Please wear cotton clothing without draped sleeves and closed-toed shoes.

This class gives you a chance to make small sculptural glass out of borosilicate glass. This class will focus on creating Halloween-themed glass, including pumpkins, witches’ hats, and other spooky designs.

This introductory class will give students the opportunity to learn the basics of borosilicate glass. Students will learn how to melt solid glass, blow out hollow work, and how to sculpt or shape glass. Coloring techniques will also be covered.
Students will use their new skills to create work of their choosing. Pendants, sculptures, pipes, and whatever else you can think of!
