In this one-day torchworking workshop, beginners will learn to create small glass vases and apothecary-style bottles using borosilicate glass. Using pre-made colored blanks, students will explore simple techniques for adding color with glass rods and shaping the material in the flame to produce elegant, functional forms.
The class focuses on creating vessels ideal for perfumes, facial oils, eye serums, or even culinary uses like olive oil. Participants will also learn to make simple, solid glass stoppers to pair with their bottles. Step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on guidance will help students develop skills in controlling heat, maintaining symmetry, and forming clean openings and bases.
This workshop offers a fun, approachable introduction to flame-worked glass, perfect for beginners while also providing techniques that can enhance the skills of those with prior torch experience.

Through live demonstrations and guided practice, participants will learn the fundamentals of working with solid glass, including techniques for sculpting, surface design, and creating luminous depth and dimension. With individual support throughout, each student will develop their own style and leave with a collection of beautiful, wearable pieces.
No experience necessary—this class is perfect for beginners as well as those looking to expand their skills.

Blown Glass On The Torch: Hollow Forms

Step into the world of flameworking and learn to shape molten borosilicate glass into beautiful hollow forms. In this hands-on class, students will explore the fundamentals of working with an oxy/propane torch while creating small blown vessels and functional objects.
Through demonstrations and guided practice, participants will learn how to apply vibrant colors and patterns to clear glass blanks and shape them into forms such as small vases, cups, goblets, ornaments, pipes, and plant watering bulbs. Essential techniques covered include blowing, condensing, pulling, and opening lips.
This class is perfect for beginners excited to work with fire and glass in a supportive studio environment. By the end of the workshop, students will take home several unique handmade pieces and a solid foundation in hollow borosilicate glass techniques.
