Discover the art of copper foil stained glass in this beginner-friendly class! Students will learn the fundamentals of creating a beautiful stained glass panel from start to finish, including how to score and break glass, grind and fit pieces, apply copper foil, solder, and frame a finished project.

By the end of the class, each student will complete a ready-to-display stained glass artwork approximately 10" × 10" and leave with the confidence and foundational skills to continue exploring stained glass on their own.

All supplies provided.

Study the classical approach to still life painting in this oil painting course taught by atelier-trained artist Angeline Shrike. Designed for students ready to deepen their painting practice, this class introduces the foundational principles of academic still life painting, including composition, lighting, color relationships, and long-term oil painting methods.

Through lectures, demonstrations, and personalized critiques, students will develop a stronger understanding of how to observe and translate form, light, and atmosphere into a finished painting. Emphasis will be placed on building a painting thoughtfully over time using traditional oil painting techniques and studio practices.

Students will create still life paintings while gaining practical experience in the classical atelier approach to oil painting.

Materials list to bring to class:

You’re welcome to order these supplies online, but if you have the time, it’s recommended to visit your local art store instead. This gives you a chance to explore the variety of materials available and compare items in person.. ArtSpot Edmonds and Artist & Craftsman Supply are great places. Blick is also a good alternative.

Oil Paint (one 4oz tube or smaller of each color):

*Be cautious not to get water soluble oil paint!

This figure drawing class offers students the opportunity to work from a professional live, fully clothed model while building strong observational and technical skills. Poses will begin with short gestures and gradually progress into longer, sustained poses, allowing students to develop both speed and accuracy in their drawings.

Class sessions include demonstrations, guided practice, and one-on-one critique. Instruction focuses on a classical realism approach, helping students strengthen their understanding of proportion, structure, and form.

Students will learn the fundamentals of figure drawing and create multiple drawings throughout the course that reflect their growing confidence and skill.

There will be a one-hour break for stretching and refreshment during class, so please remember to bring a lunch or snack.

Materials list to bring to class:

Pencils (choose one):

  • Staedtler Mars Lumograph set (6 pencils), or

  • 3 each of: H, F, HB, 2B, 4B (Staedtler Mars Lumograph)

Step into the world of flameworking and learn to shape molten borosilicate glass into beautiful hollow forms. In this hands-on class, students will explore the fundamentals of working with an oxy/propane torch while creating small blown vessels and functional objects.

Through demonstrations and guided practice, participants will learn how to apply vibrant colors and patterns to clear glass blanks and shape them into forms such as small vases, cups, goblets, ornaments, pipes, and plant watering bulbs. Essential techniques covered include blowing, condensing, pulling, and opening lips.

This class is perfect for beginners excited to work with fire and glass in a supportive studio environment. By the end of the workshop, students will take home several unique handmade pieces and a solid foundation in hollow borosilicate glass techniques.
