In this beginner-friendly class, students will learn how to crochet and customize their own piece of headwear—whether it’s a beanie, mask, or balaclava. Perfect for the colder months, this workshop covers the basics of crochet, including how to read and adapt patterns to fit different head sizes. By the end of the class, students will complete one handmade item and leave with the tools, skills, and patterns needed to continue creating on their own.

Students are more than welcome to bring their own yarn and supplies if they’d like to personalize their project. A beanie can be made with any yarn weight, as long as the pattern is adjusted accordingly—so there’s plenty of room for creativity. That said, all necessary materials will be provided, so no one will be left empty-handed if they don’t bring their own.

Learn the basics of tapestry crochet and create your own colorful crocheted design! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to work single crochet into a flat panel, read a simple graph pattern, manage multiple colors of yarn, and work on both the front and back of your project. You’ll have the option to create your own design or choose from several provided patterns.

By the end of class, you’ll have made significant progress on—or possibly completed—a simple tapestry crochet project that can be used as a wall hanging, pillow cover, coaster, potholder, or other decorative piece. If time allows, you’ll also learn how to attach a dowel to your finished piece for hanging.

Previous knowledge of single crochet is helpful but not required.

In this hands-on class, students will learn the fundamentals of creating their very own custom rug from start to finish. Using a tufting gun, participants will discover how to transfer a flat vector image onto canvas, tuft their design, apply glue and backing, and finish their piece with a professional shave. Perfect for individuals or pairs—this class makes a great creative outing for friends, couples, or family members. By the end of the class, each student will have completed one personalized tufted rug to take home and enjoy.
