Learn to design and draw your own characters in a unique retro cartoon style, explore the fundamentals of cartoon drawing and coloring, and develop your artistic voice. By the end of the class, you’ll have a completed character design sheet along with two fully realized illustrations featuring your original character.

Curious about drawing with alcohol markers? This beginner-friendly illustration class is your chance to dive in! You'll learn to draw in a fun, stylized way inspired by anime, manga, and comics—covering everything from everyday scenes to sci-fi and fantasy. Then, bring your drawings to life by outlining them with pens and adding bold color using alcohol markers. You’ll also learn techniques with colored pencils and pens to add details and polish your artwork.

Each student will create a finished, frame-worthy illustration, along with extra drawings, practice sheets, and a packet of tips and tricks to take home and keep creating!
