Want to give watercolor a go but don’t know where to start? This two-day workshop is a great way to dive in, experiment with different techniques, and build confidence painting en plein air – outside! Students will meet at Schack and [weather-permitting] will venture to the Arboretum at Legion Parl and Hibulb Overlook to spend a day outside learning all about watercolor.
We’ll cover washes, water-to-paint ratios, glazing, and color theory while painting skies, water, and trees. Come along and learn to embrace watercolor's unpredictability instead of fighting it!
This class is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to get outside and paint.
Come prepared for working outside and bring a small seat or cushion to sit on.
All materials are provided—just bring yourself and a willingness to play with paint!
