Curious about drawing with alcohol markers? This beginner-friendly illustration class is a great introduction to creating vibrant botanical artwork. Students will learn how to observe and sketch plants and flowers in a stylized yet natural way, focusing on composition, line work, and capturing the character of botanical forms.
After developing their sketches, students will refine their drawings with ink and bring them to life using alcohol markers, learning techniques for layering color, creating smooth blends, and adding depth. Colored pencils and pens will also be used to add fine details, highlights, and finishing touches.
By the end of the class, each student will complete a finished, frame-worthy botanical illustration, along with additional sketches, practice sheets, and a packet of tips and techniques to help them continue creating at home. 🌿
