Explore how to create both calming harmony and compelling tension in your artwork through the power of color.

In the first half of this class, you’ll be guided through a series of hands-on exercises that bring color principles into practical use. In the second half, you’ll apply what you’ve learned by creating a collage of your choice or focusing on a specific color scheme.

Ideal for collage artists or anyone working with found materials, this class will help you make more confident and effective color decisions.

All supplies are provided, and you’ll leave with exercises demonstrating key color concepts as well as at least one finished collage.

Collaborative collage is a fun and dynamic way to create with others—once you know how to navigate the process.

In this class, you’ll take part in an add-and-pass collage activity while learning strategies for managing expectations, communicating with fellow artists, and working within creative boundaries. You’ll also receive an overview of opportunities for collaborative collage beyond the classroom.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a group-created artwork and the confidence to participate in future collaborations, including the upcoming 16th annual global Postal Collage Project.

Artist Trading Cards are a snapshot of your style and a fun, low-pressure way to experiment and connect with other creators.

In this class, you’ll learn how to quickly generate a series of themed ATCs and explore a variety of collage techniques to give each one its own unique flair. Your instructor will share examples from their personal ATC collection for inspiration.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a collection of cards from fellow students, along with extras to continue trading on your own.
