Discover the magic of paper marbling using ink in this hands-on workshop inspired by the ancient Japanese technique of Suminagashi. You’ll learn how to create flowing, organic designs by gently marbling ink across the surface of water using a simple paintbrush technique. Once transferred to paper, these mesmerizing patterns can be used for cards, art prints, and more.
By the end of class, each student will have created several marbled paper prints in various sizes to take home, along with the knowledge and materials list needed to continue exploring this beautiful and accessible technique on your own.
