This camp is perfect for young artists eager to dive into textile art and soft sculpture. Students will learn a range of fiber techniques โ€” including embroidery, tie-dye, weaving, and needle felting โ€” to create imaginative artwork using fabric and other soft materials.

Throughout the week, participants will build foundational skills in each method, exploring pattern, texture, and design while creating soft sculptures and vibrant fabric pieces. From wearable art to dimensional textile projects, students will experiment and develop creations that reflect their own unique style.

All supplies are included. Please bring a lunch and join us for a fun, hands-on week of creativity and fiber arts exploration!

Dive into a week of creative self-expression with wearable art thatโ€™s totally your style! Explore tie-dye, shrinky-dink jewelry, felted accessories, and more as you design one-of-a-kind pieces youโ€™ll love to wear.

Students will experiment with fabric, beads, felt, and other fun materials to make jewelry, scarves, bags, and other cool creations. By the end of the week, youโ€™ll have a personal collection of art you can show off โ€” plus a fashion show to celebrate everyoneโ€™s amazing designs!

Bring a snack for our break and get ready for a week full of color, creativity, and fun!

Fiber Arts Bootcamp: February 4th, 11th, 18th, & 25th 6pm-9pm

Through this multi-session workshop attendees will gain hands-on experience in a wide variety of fiber art styles. From weaving, to felting, and embroidery, you will leave each session with fresh ideas for your own practice as well as ways educators can incorporate fiber art practices into their classrooms. This workshop is open to educators, beginning fiber arts practitioners, or anyone looking to get introductory knowledge in various fiber arts practices!

Week 1: Embroidery Basics to Advanced and how to Needle felt

  • Learn and practice foundational to advanced embroidery stitches.

  • Explore creative applications of embroidery in art and everyday objects.

  • Develop strategies for teaching embroidery and needle felting across Kโ€“12 levels.

  • Encourage slow, mindful making and personal expression.
