Create a one-of-a-kind garden snake from recycled bottle caps! In class, you’ll shape and glaze your snake’s head and tail, then transform colorful bottle caps into a body by pounding them with a nail and threading them onto sturdy wire. Your instructor will assemble your finished snake after class, creating a whimsical garden ornament that may even help discourage unwanted birds and critters from snacking on the fruit in your trees—though we can’t make any promises!
Please note: Your instructor will fire the pieces at home and return the completed snakes to Schack, typically within one month.

Ceramic Garden Village House

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn basic clay-building techniques to sculpt and decorate your own miniature village house. Display your finished creation in your garden, on your patio, or indoors—or add fairy lights to transform it into a magical holiday centerpiece!
After the pieces are bisque-fired, your instructor will apply a patina to bring out the details and give each house its own unique character.
All ages are welcome! Children under 8 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Ceramic Birds

Bring your imagination to life as you sculpt your own whimsical ceramic bird! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn basic clay-building techniques to shape and decorate a feathered friend with its own personality. Create a bird to display indoors on a shelf or tabletop, or add a touch of charm to your outdoor garden or patio.
After the pieces are bisque-fired, your instructor will apply a patina to enhance the details and bring out the character of each unique creation.

Ceramic Skeleton Bowls

Students will learn hand-building techniques to make an animal of their choosing. Dragons, hedgehogs, toads, turtles, cats, dogs, oh my! Your imagination is the limit. You will create and paint to complete your animal in the class.
Artworks will be returned after the teacher fires them at her home and returns to Schack (usually takes one full month.)
