Ceramic Garden Gnomes

The students will learn basic clay techniques to build high-fired garden gnomes. They can be any gender, shape, or size and personalized to look like someone you know. Multi-color clays will be used, and the instructor will "patina" the pieces after bisque-firing them.
All ages of students are welcome! Any student under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pieces will be ready in three weeks to display in your yard, coffee table, or bedroom!

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and bring your ideas to life in clay! In this hands-on 4-day class, students will explore the world of form, texture, and design through creative clay projects.
We’ll experiment with shaping, molding, and sculpting clay to create both functional and decorative pieces. Students will learn techniques such as hand-building, coil and slab construction, and basic surface texturing to make unique artworks.
Through demonstrations and guided projects, participants will explore clay techniques while creating bold, tactile pieces they can be proud of. Come ready to shape, sculpt, and bring your ideas to life!
All supplies are provided. Please bring a lunch and dress for mess!
Ceramic Skeleton Bowls

Ceramic Pumpkins
Date: Sunday, September 14 from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm

Decorate your house or table with a unique handmade ceramic pumpkin! Students will have time to make more than one.

Clay Masks
Dates: Sunday, February 9 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Make a mask of yourself or be creative! All clay will be fired for outdoor or indoor use.
Artworks will be returned after the teacher fires them at her home and returns to Schack (usually takes one full month.)

Students will learn hand-building techniques to make an animal of their choosing. Dragons, hedgehogs, toads, turtles, cats, dogs, oh my! Your imagination is the limit. You will create and paint to complete your animal in the class.
Artworks will be returned after the teacher fires them at her home and returns to Schack (usually takes one full month.)
