Learn all about printmaking! Create your own body of work while exploring a variety of printmaking techniques, both traditional and new. You’ll have the chance to try processes like collagraph (printing from textured surfaces), intaglio (etching into metal plates), monotype (one-of-a-kind prints), and relief (printing from carved surfaces). Come with an idea of what you’d like to create, and we’ll help guide you through the steps to make it happen!

This two-session class focuses on collagraphy, a method of printmaking using glue and collage to create a printable surface. Through a variety of techniques, ink is applied and transferred to paper by use of a printing press. In the first session, students learn how different collage techniques to translate to print and then create their own collages to print the following day.
