Calligraphy—the art of beautiful handwriting—is a timeless skill that adds a personal, elegant touch to both everyday and special projects. Whether you’re creating cards, addressing envelopes, designing invitations, scrapbooking, or crafting unique gifts, calligraphy brings a distinctive and meaningful flair to your work.

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the graceful Italic style of calligraphy in a fun, relaxed environment that’s welcoming to all skill levels. No prior experience is necessary, and instruction will move at a comfortable, supportive pace.

Please note: Consistent attendance is essential for this class. Missing more than one session is strongly discouraged, as it is extremely difficult to catch up once more than one class is missed, even with independent practice. Students who miss two or more classes will not be able to continue in the course, and no refunds will be issued. If you have questions about this policy, please contact the Art Class Coordinator at rchernow@schack.org.
