Calligraphy, the art of beautiful handwriting, is a timeless skill that adds a personal and elegant touch to everyday and special projects alike. Whether you’re creating cards, addressing envelopes, designing invitations, scrapbooking, or crafting unique holiday gifts, learning calligraphy can bring a distinct and meaningful flair to your work.

In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn the graceful Italic style of calligraphy in a fun, relaxed setting—perfect for all skill levels. No prior experience is necessary, and we’ll move at a pace that’s comfortable for everyone.

    • 2.5 mm Black Calligraphy Marker

      • Brand: Elegant Writer

      • Must be 2.5 mm with a chisel felt tip

      • Do not bring kits, fountain pens, or ink pens

    • Tracing Paper Pad

      • Brand: Master’s Touch, 9" x 12"

      • Available at Hobby Lobby; ideal for beginners

      • Do not use copy paper – it bleeds

    • Miscellaneous Supplies:

      • Paper clips

      • Scotch tape

      • Pencil with eraser

      • One manila file folder

      • One small container (e.g., pencil box or Tupperware) to hold supplies

In this exciting summer camp, students will explore the art of bookmaking and have the opportunity to create their very own 3D books! This hands-on experience blends various artistic techniques while introducing students to the process of constructing unique books and journals.

Each student will create personalized works of art, including journals and 3D books, using recycled materials and treasured objects. These handmade books will serve as beautiful, functional pieces of art—perfect for recording thoughts, memories, and creativity.

Join us for a week of creativity, self-expression, and hands-on fun as we explore the art of bookmaking!

All supplies provided, but please bring a lunch and dress for mess!
