Discover the art of creating a versatile backpack basket perfect for foraging, fishing, grocery shopping, or any adventure that calls for a sturdy, handwoven pack. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn traditional weaving techniques, how to dye reed, and how to add a wooden handle rim for both durability and style.
Students will explore different harness options and receive a pre-made nylon webbing harness to complete their basket.
By the end of the class, you’ll have crafted a practical and beautiful backpack basket that reflects your creativity and is ready for everyday use. This workshop is open to all skill levels — from first-time weavers to experienced artisans. Join us for an inspiring and rewarding experience, and leave with a functional, stylish creation made by you!
