Students will create a vibrant relief sculpture of a favorite fruit—such as a pomegranate, lemon, orange, or other botanical subject—on a 16" × 20" canvas. Using lightweight construction foam to build the form and flexible modeling paste to create realistic texture and dimension, participants will transform a flat canvas into a striking three-dimensional work of art.

The workshop concludes with acrylic painting techniques that bring the sculpture to life through color, shading, and background design, along with painted leaves and other finishing details.
By the end of class, each student will leave with a completed sculpted and painted mixed-media canvas that beautifully blends the depth of sculpture with the expressive qualities of acrylic painting.
